Monument for Darius and Girėnas

I remember my mother showing me an article in a newspaper by some local activist who was urging the city to destroy this monument. Amazing how some individuals, having no clue what this monument is for,  were eager to destroy it. Creation vs. Destruction - an eternal battle.Thanks to local Lithuanian community the monument was beautifully restored.
